• Is it worth buying period underwear?

Among women who replaced pads, tampons or cups with period underwear, opinions are very positive. Most admit that Masmi underwear performs well even during the first days of the period with heavy bleeding. Remember to change a pad or tampon every 3-4 hours depending on period intensity – menstrual underwear need to be changed only 2 times a day. We recommend buying 2 pairs – one worn, the other clean waiting for change. If you want to be sure that a clean pair will always be waiting for you on those days, you can get another pair. Optimal amount is 3 pieces.

• With menstrual underwear, do you use a pad or tampon at the same time?

Menstrual underwear are designed to provide protection on their own during menstruation. There’s no need to wear an additional pad, but if you feel more comfortable with a pad, you can wear it just like with regular underwear. You can also wear underwear for extra protection during menstruation if you use a tampon or menstrual cup.

• Are menstrual underwear expensive?

Menstrual underwear are very economical and durable, so their purchase is definitely economical. One pair can serve us for 3–4 years without loss of absorbency. If you follow the manufacturer’s washing and drying guidelines, this period can extend to even 6 years (remember that underwear can last even longer, but their absorbency will gradually decrease – this process will not be noticeable for you). The cost of buying pads or tampons over a similar period is 3-6 times higher (depending on the brand of pads or tampons used) than buying 2-3 pairs of underwear. • Do menstrual underwear leak?

No, menstrual underwear do not leak, provided they are used and washed properly. However, you should monitor your body and adjust the time you wear the underwear according to your needs depending on the intensity of your period.

• Do menstrual underwear have a bad odor?

A bad odor can appear when you have a vaginal infection.

• Do menstrual underwear feel damp?

If menstrual underwear are washed properly, they do not lose absorbency and should keep up with absorbing moisture into the absorbent layer.

How to wash and care for the products?

1. Underwear should be pre-washed before first use.
2. After use, we recommend rinsing and/or soaking before washing.
3. Can be hand or machine washed with the rest of the laundry or in a separate laundry bag (if you prefer).
4. If using a washing machine, wash at a temperature not higher than 40º.
5. For proper care, use neutral soaps. Do not use chlorine, whiteners, fabric softeners, natural oils or Marseille soap, as they may affect absorbency.
6. Do not use a tumble dryer, as it may reduce absorbency.
